INVITED-TRIAL GUIDE · UPDATED 28 October 2026
Start an invited LabelRules trial
Agree one label workflow, sample data and a qualified printer before production labels print.
This guide describes the trial scope. Access and the workflow supported for your site are agreed before the trial starts.
Describe one label workflow
Tell us about one recurring product label: where its data comes from, what changes between customers, and the printer and label stock you use.
Choose an ordinary order, an awkward customer requirement and a case that should stop printing. These tell you more about a workflow than a perfect sample alone.
- A representative label or readable artwork, with its dimensions.
- An anonymised order export and the customer product code the label needs.
- An example that should be held rather than printed.
- The printer, workstation and label stock you intend to use.
See a demonstration
We show you LabelRules with sample data, using an order like yours. If it fits, we agree the trial and invite your team. Trials are by invitation, with no self-service sign-up.
Set up the first workflow together
During the trial, SmartFACT sets up your first label workflow with your team and stays close while it runs, so problems are fixed quickly.
LabelRules works with manufacturing CSV data, customer mappings, Code 128 and 100 × 150 mm labels. Your printer, driver and stock pass a LabelRules qualification label before any production label prints. Wider barcode, automation and layout requirements belong in the initial assessment.
Choose Free or Pro
Free and Pro are the plans that follow the trial. Free is an ongoing plan for one attended station, with a monthly AI authoring allowance. Pro adds unlimited AI-assisted authoring, station routing, unattended printing, on-premises production and business-hours support. The pricing page compares them.
Practise with the real screens
Practise printing a job’s labels, handling uncertain output, authorising an exact reprint and drafting, checking and publishing a rule, using made-up orders and customers.
Read the guides on any device. Interactive demonstrations run on a desktop or laptop, showing the office screens or the station screens used on a handheld or scan station.
